I brought home a Bichon Frise from a classmate’s house right after the college entrance examination. On April 14, 2019, my classmate’s Bichon Frise mother gave birth to a litter. I went to pick one up on June 8, the day after the college entrance examination. The puppy had been weaned for a few days.

To be honest, my family’s financial condition isn’t particularly good. My parents don’t have formal jobs. (I’m not sure if their combined monthly salary reaches six thousand yuan, but it definitely doesn’t reach eight thousand yuan. We live in a small city.) I’m very glad that I’m the only child in the family, and my parents love me very much. I’ve been crazy about dogs since I was a kid and always wanted to have one.
Bringing Mantou home was approved by my parents. (I told my parents about it half a month before the college entrance examination. Maybe they agreed to it at that time to take care of my state of mind as a high – school senior. Hahaha.) Then my dad drove me to my classmate’s house to pick up the dog. (My dad was even more eager than me when we were picking up the dog. He actually likes dogs a lot too.)
Before Mantou entered the house, I had prepared some basic necessities: a cage for over 30 yuan. (Here, I’d like to remind everyone to buy a larger cage. When my dog was a puppy, the cage was quite spacious, but after half a year old, it couldn’t use this cage anymore as it couldn’t even turn around in it.) Dog food, 70 yuan for 4 kg (Pedigree puppy food. I think it’s a well – known brand, so it’s less likely to go wrong. I can’t afford really expensive dog food, and I bought this at the price from Tmall Supermarket. My dog has been eating it ever since.)
Then, when Mantou was two months old, it was time to get vaccinated. The following picture shows the consumption record of my first visit to the pet store with Mantou.
At that time, there was an offer that if you recharge 1000 yuan at once, you could enjoy member discounts. I thought I would keep the dog for a long time and would surely come to the store frequently in the future, so I recharged 1000 yuan. (My mom and I split this 1000 yuan equally. I was already working part – time during the summer vacation at that time, and most of the money I earned was later spent on Mantou. After all, I was the one who wanted to raise the dog, and I was afraid that my parents might dislike Mantou if they thought it cost too much.)
