—————Updated on June 21st———————————————————————————————————————

This month, her puppy play went very well. After adapting to the puppy play environment, she became a quiet girl. She would also play and make noises, but not too lively.

We also bought food that is more suitable for her. Her eye mucus, tear trough and poop are all good.

Her hair loss has also decreased a lot.

Toilet training is also very good (although she does not hold her urine and pees a lot every day).

However, life is not always smooth sailing.

Today, on the 137th day of her birth, we sent her to be sterilized!

Here are two photos before sterilization.

(After being deprived of water and food for twelve hours)

We sent her to the veterinary hospital at eight in the morning, and then we could leave.

At twelve noon, I received a call from the veterinary hospital that Chuyi had completed the operation and woke up. I could pick her up in the afternoon.

At four in the afternoon, I arrived at the veterinary hospital. The nurse took her out, and I saw her listless and curled up in the nurse’s arms.

I also took Chuyi with trepidation, and then drove home. When I got home and carried her out of the car, I may have accidentally touched her wound, and she screamed several times. Fortunately, I laid a clean blanket in advance, and then wrapped her up and took her home.

After arriving home, she moved very slowly in the nest, and sat for ten minutes before moving her legs and trying to lie down. But at this time, the anesthetic had not worn off yet, and she was not in the mood, and was dazed.

When she turned over while she was sleeping soundly, I saw the wound, which was about 7.5 centimeters long and had stopped bleeding.

The doctor also prescribed painkillers, so it shouldn’t be a big deal. To be on the safe side, I am considering staying with her on the sofa tonight. After all, sterilization surgery is still a major operation for girls.

Since she came back, she has been lying in the nest with no energy and doesn’t drink water. Poor thing.

(I will update after she fully recovers. The vet said she needs to be closely monitored for fourteen days)

This is the picture of the wound I took after Ah Chu came back from the veterinary hospital. I thought it was quite serious at the time, and I didn’t dare to touch her.

She lay in the nest listlessly, hardly moving, for most of the day, and didn’t eat or drink.

But that night, Ah Chu came out by herself to drink water. (She peed that night, and pooped the next night)

After the sterilization operation, I was deeply shocked by the recovery ability of dogs. On the second day after the operation, Ah Chu could walk by herself, and on the third day she was able to move around more freely (she could already jump up and down on the low sofa in my house). Four days after the operation, hum… I can no longer feel the traces of the operation.

The picture below shows the surgical scar about seven days after the operation. You can see that it has almost recovered. (The hair on her belly hasn’t grown back yet)

I followed the doctor’s advice to give Ah Chu a bath fourteen days after the surgery (it stinks so bad)

After Ah Chu fully recovered, she also reached the age requirement for the local dog park. I went to City Hall to get her a dog tag, so she can go to the dog park~ (As she gets older and bigger, the puppy play space can no longer meet her activity needs)

Probably because it’s still summer vacation, there aren’t many dogs in the dog park.

I suddenly found this update a bit boring after writing this. I thought about it and it’s been four months since I took Ah Chu home. I think I’ve finally gotten over the adjustment period with her and can get along happily! Haha~ I

‘m moving at the end of the month. From now on, Ah Chu will live with his childhood sweetheart, the Corgi doto, and a new adventure is about to begin~

Ah Chu & Ah Dou,

don’t forget that I’m a beautiful dog~
