I think what I am going to talk about next is not only about Shiba Inus, but also about how to raise a pet or even a child. Character development in childhood is crucial. You cannot simply feed, drink and give toys to a dog. It needs company. Dogs need to be walked outdoors at least twice a day. Most dogs are unwilling to pee or poop in their own territory. If a dog makes such a mistake, as an owner, you should first reflect on whether you have not done enough. Of course, it is tolerable for a dog under one year old to be unable to hold its urine, just like a child. You only need to tell it that this is wrong and teach it patiently. Serve the dog with virtue. Don’t hit it easily. The most taboo is to hit it too hard. Many adult dogs attack people because they were beaten too hard when they were young. When they grow up, they will fight back with sharp teeth and become sensitive and neurotic. In fact, if you just put on a serious face and speak in a focused tone, he will realize his mistake, deal with it calmly, and ignore him.
I don’t know if what I wrote is off topic. I just coaxed my baby to sleep and came here to talk about it. A friend asked me to popularize the issues of getting along with dogs during pregnancy and the baby’s infancy. I am not a professional veterinarian or doctor. I just briefly talk about my experience.
I went for a toxoplasmosis test in the early stage of pregnancy. Although I know that this is purely unnecessary, in order to reassure the elderly at home, if you are really worried, you can go to the pet hospital to give the dog medicine or injections. There are special drugs to block toxoplasmosis. Anyway, I didn’t do this step.
I think that during pregnancy and the baby’s infancy, toxoplasmosis does not need to be considered at all. The main thing is to prevent physical collisions with dogs. I put the children at my mother’s house for the first three months. I went to accompany them during the day and went back to my own house to sleep at night. After three months, Yunho still slept with me every night. It’s OK as long as you don’t bump into my belly. The same applies to the baby’s infancy, just don’t step on the baby.
Here again shows how important it is for a dog to have a good character!
My two dogs sometimes get impatient when facing the harassment of the baby, but they just growl a few times to deal with it. My son was scared and cried a few times at first, but then he pretended to be stupid and ignored it completely~
