Siamese Cats: The Destructive Yet Charming Troublemakers

Siamese Cats: The Destructive Yet Charming Troublemakers

Since I got two Siamese cats, my life has been completely disrupted by these two “little devils”. People always say that Siamese cats are the Huskies of the cat world. At first, I didn’t believe it until they proved to me with their actions that this statement is absolutely true – they destroy the house with their strength and are so mischievous that they make you angry and amused at the same time.

Siamese cats are incredibly strong, and their “iron – head skill” is truly remarkable. On a regular day, as soon as I pick up my phone, they immediately turn into “phone terminators”, using their heads to push away my hand holding the phone, as if to say, “The phone is no fun compared to me.” Even more incredibly, they can actually push open the floor – to – ceiling windows with their brute force and then rush to the balcony like wild horses to “free themselves”. Every time I come home from work and see the open balcony door, my heart jumps into my throat. There are no protective measures on my balcony. If they are naughty and accidentally fall, I would regret it for the rest of my life.

Besides their great strength, they are also enthusiastic about the “cause of house – destroying”. Every day when I get home, there is a “surprise” waiting for me: socks are taken out of the drawer and scattered all over the floor; the wardrobe is rummaged through and looks as if it has been burgled; the night light is bitten into pieces; the earphones are torn apart; even the mattress wrapped in the bedsheet can’t escape and becomes broken. The most frustrating thing is that sometimes there is their urine in the water glass. The sight is just heart – breaking.

These two Siamese cats also love to play the “disappearing game”. Several times, I suddenly found that they were nowhere to be seen. I searched around the house anxiously and called their names loudly, but there was no response. Just when I was about to cry out of worry, they would suddenly appear. Once, one of them lazily walked out from the gap on the balcony, stretching, as if it had just finished a pleasant adventure. Another time, after I searched for a long time, it suddenly meowed. I followed the sound and found that it was comfortably lying in the freshly dried quilt, looking very relaxed, which made me both angry and amused.

They also like to hide things, and the carpet at home has become their “secret base”. Every time I can’t find a small item, as long as I step on the edge of the carpet with bare feet, once I feel something bulging, nine times out of ten it’s the thing I’m looking for. Cotton swabs, half a nut shell, makeup brushes, rubber bands, lighters… all these have become the objects they hide, as if they are playing a “treasure – hunting game” with me.

If I want to make a hot pot at home, I can’t leave the pot for a single moment. If I’m not careful, these two little guys will take the opportunity to “commit a crime”, jump onto the table and eye the delicious food in the pot, as if saying, “Here comes the deliciousness.” Later, I discovered a good way to “control” them. Prepare a piece of pork rib, and they will gnaw on it for a long time, no longer having time to care about anything else. This method has always worked.

Despite their fearless and house – destroying behavior at home, once they are taken outside, they immediately become timid. Their former majestic appearance disappears completely, and they become extremely clingy. They must be held by me and hide in my hair to feel safe. Their appearance outside is completely different from that at home.

Although Siamese cats are naughty and have countless “shortcomings”, it is precisely these unique personalities that make them full of charm. They are like flavor enhancers in life, adding countless joys and memories to ordinary days. Even if they are “house – destroyers” and “stinky – fart masters”, I still love them deeply.
