When I decided to bring a Siamese cat home, my heart was filled with both anticipation and a touch of nervousness. To ensure it had a healthy and happy start, I insisted on purchasing it from a regular source. Finally, I welcomed this five – month – old little life into my world. This journey of meeting and getting along with it has been full of warmth and surprises, and it has also made me deeply understand the unique happiness that cat – raising brings.
The moment I picked it up at the airport cargo pickup point, my heart tightened. The environment there was noisy, dirty, and filled with a pungent smell of gasoline. It was hard to imagine what kind of long journey this little one had endured in such an environment. However, when I carefully picked up the carrier, ready to take it away, I was surprised to find that the little guy had already fallen asleep peacefully inside.I secretly vowed to give it the best life possible.
After arriving home, the little Siamese cat immediately showed its strong curiosity and began to explore its new home. It walked briskly, sniffing here and there, not missing any corner. To help it adapt to the new environment as soon as possible, I carried it to the litter box and gently scratched the sand a few times, then guided it to scratch on the scratching post. Unexpectedly, the clever cat instantly understood my intentions and quickly grasped the use of these “living facilities.” What’s more surprising is that the next day, it completely let down its guard and started to act coquettishly, asking for hugs and pets. Whenever I got close, it would purr happily, and that sound was like magic, instantly driving away the tiredness of my day.
This Siamese cat is like a little angel, bringing endless joy to my life. It has no unpleasant body odor, only a faint and pleasant cat smell. During the day, it is full of energy, transforming into a “mischievous monkey.” It either drills under the bed for adventure or “flies” around the house, turning the home into its playground. At night, as soon as I turn off the lights, it becomes extremely quiet, patiently waiting for the morning alarm to ring before acting coquettishly for food. This contrast between being naughty during the day and quiet at night makes me love it more and more.
Considering that a new cat may feel nervous when arriving home, I specially prepared a bottle of Feliway to soothe its emotions. In terms of diet, I chose Primal freeze – dried food, Butch meat rolls, and Ziwi Peak main course cans, hoping to provide it with sufficient nutrition. Although I don’t have time to prepare cat food or raw meat for it, I believe these high – quality foods can also meet its growth needs. To prevent it from becoming a picky eater, I decided not to give it snacks for the time being. I selected Blue Buffalo White Label cat litter, which has no smell at all, and stocked up on it during discounts.I believe the expenses will gradually stabilize when it grows up.
The time I’ve spent with the Siamese cat, though short, has filled me with happiness and touched my heart. It is not only a pet in my life but also my close companion, filling every corner of my life with its cuteness and dependence. In the days to come, I look forward to spending more wonderful moments with it, witnessing its growth, and continuing to write our warm story.
