My Lovely Silver - shaded Cat, Lucky: A Journey of Growth and Love

My Lovely Silver – shaded Cat, Lucky: A Journey of Growth and Love

For a long time, having a cat of my own has always been a longing in my heart. I don’t want to satisfy my love for cats only through the phone screen anymore. Since I first saw a golden – shaded British Shorthair cat in a cat cafe last year, I have been deeply in love with them. Those big round eyes, their chubby and cute appearance, being so charming and adorable, are really attractive. However, currently, the price of golden – shaded British Shorthairs has been hyped up to a very high level, making me a bit daunted. By chance, I found that silver – shaded British Shorthair cats are not only equally cute but also much more affordable. So, the idea of raising a silver – shaded British Shorthair became more and more firm in my heart.

Before bringing my “Little Lucky” home, I consulted a lot of information about British Shorthairs and silver – shaded British Shorthairs on Zhihu and followed relevant topics for a long time. After searching around, I finally found the cat that I fell in love with at first sight – “Little Lucky” (Lucky). Since July 16, 2020, when Lucky came to my home, six days have passed. Let this article be its growth diary.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get to meet Lucky when it was a kitten. I can only look at the photos of it in the original owner’s home and imagine what it was like when it was little. However, from the moment it came to my home, we started our own beautiful story.

Time flies. Now it’s March 5, 2021, and Lucky is over one year old. This little guy is a bit picky about food and hasn’t grown into a chubby one as I expected. Recently, I’ve been worrying about how to make it eat more. However, its cuteness hasn’t decreased at all. Let me update a few of its recent beautiful photos. Look, it’s lying lazily playing with a rope. Its appearance seems that everything in the world has nothing to do with it, and it’s only immersed in its own little world. Every morning, as soon as I open my eyes, I can see its cute sleeping face. At that moment, all my tiredness seems to disappear. Every time I use a lint roller to remove the floating hair on its body, it closes its eyes comfortably, as if enjoying a cozy massage. Another time, it tightly bit the rope on dad’s clothes and took on a stance of never letting go in a tug – of – war. Its serious look made people laugh.

Looking back on November 16, 2020, under my careful care and with plenty of cat food for several months, Lucky finally grew to nearly eight pounds. This little guy has become visibly rounder. Watching it grow healthily, I’m filled with joy. At that time, what I hoped most was that my baby could come into heat later and continue to be an innocent little boy. After all, I don’t want to take it to be neutered too early.

During the days of getting along with Lucky, it has brought me countless joys and warmth. Every move and every expression of it can touch my heart. It’s like a little angel, healing the tiredness and troubles in my life with its cuteness and dependence. I know that in the days to come, we will experience a lot together. I’m looking forward to witnessing more of its growth moments and accompanying it through every beautiful time. I will always protect it and let it live happily in this loving home. And it will continue to add endless colors to my life and become the most precious existence in my life.
