A month ago, a special little member came into my life – the cat Duansi. Its arrival, like a warm beam of light, has illuminated every corner of my life.
Duansi was born on the fourth day of the fifth lunar month. Coincidentally, this is the same day as my birthday. This wonderful fate makes me firmly believe that it is a little angel specially sent by heaven to accompany me. I still remember the day I went to pick it up. When I arrived at its previous owner’s home, the mother cat had given birth to three kittens, each with its own demeanor. One kitten wouldn’t let me hold it, and another hid and refused to come out. Only Duansi let me pick it up gently without showing any signs of biting or resistance. Just like that, I chose it without hesitation.
When I first brought Duansi home, I placed it in a cardboard box. This was its first time going out, and the outside world was full of novelty to it. Its round eyes were full of curiosity, constantly looking around at everything. However, when it first arrived at my home, it was very cautious. It quietly stayed on the sofa, not moving at all. Even when it slept, it slept very lightly, waking up at the slightest sign of movement.
That weekend, I deliberately stayed at home to accompany it. At that time, Duansi didn’t know how to use the litter box. Once, it even pooped on the carpet. I cleaned it up patiently without any complaints. But unexpectedly, when I came home from work on Monday, I found that it had peed on my quilt. Immediately, I educated it and “confined” it in the litter box for half an hour. Fortunately, when I found that it had pooped in the litter box and released it, from then on, it learned to use the litter box and never peed randomly again. It was really extremely obedient, much faster than I expected in teaching it to use the litter box.
During the day, Duansi likes to stay on the sofa the most, secretly observing me with its cute little eyes. Every move is full of cuteness. From the first day it came to my home, it has a special preference for my bed and likes to sleep next to me. The cat bed I specially bought for it, however, it never goes near. It often stays quietly on the bed, sometimes tilting its head to watch me play with my phone, looking extremely cute.
Duansi’s sleeping postures are also extremely strange and cute. Sometimes it lies on its back, exposing its soft belly without any defense; sometimes it curls itself into a ball, like a furry ball. It is also an absolute clingy creature. Every morning when I wake up, I often find myself “occupied” by it and can’t move, while it nestles beside me with a look of contentment.
Duansi seems very interested in the cartoon “Tom and Jerry”. Watching the chase between Tom and Jerry on TV, its eyes don’t blink.One day when I woke up, it was raining heavily outside. I forgot to turn off the air conditioner, and the room was a bit cold. When I got up to go to the toilet, I saw Duansi looking at me with a sleepy face. At that moment, my heart was melted by its cuteness.
When I took Duansi to get vaccinated, it ran around excitedly in the hospital, full of curiosity about everything around. On the way to the hospital, it stayed obediently in the bag, with a look of both fear and curiosity in its eyes. After taking it out to play a few times, it became “wild” and wanted to “escape” every day. Every time I take it to the park and come back home, it is so tired that it lies on the ground like a “little dog”.
Every night before I go to bed, I will play with my phone for a while first. At this time, Duansi will squat under the desk lamp in a daze, quietly waiting for me. As soon as I turn off the light, it immediately runs onto the bed and nestles closely beside me to sleep. In my heart, Duansi is the cutest animal in the world, without a doubt. With its innocence, cuteness, and dependence, it has made my life rich and colorful, and I cherish every moment spent with it.
