In my life, a special “family member” has arrived – Yinjiao. This little cat, which is less than three months old, has already deeply fascinated me. From the moment it has been in my home for just 20 days, it has started a journey full of surprises and joys.
The arrival of Yinjiao instantly added a lot of vitality and energy to my home. I still remember the first day it came home. The little guy started purring and asking to be petted just 10 minutes after arriving. Its lovely appearance seemed to express friendliness and trust to me. Although it hid under the sofa the whole first day and only cautiously poked its head out until it was dark, on the second day, it was already lying on its back with its belly exposed, peacefully sleeping on the cat scratch board. The change before and after made me feel its ability to quickly adapt to the new environment.
Yinjiao has a very high appearance level. It is truly “as active as a rabbit when moving and as quiet as a virgin when still”. When it is quiet, it is just like an elegant little lady. At first, I wanted to name it Wukong, but it was really too small and often so quiet that it was unexpected. Sometimes, it just sits there quietly, looking at you with its clear eyes as if thinking about something. In my father’s words, “My daughter is really a little lady.” Once, I turned on the camera but didn’t see it. When I turned the camera to look around, I turned back and saw it quietly squatting there, looking at the camera. Its focused eyes seemed to be having a silent conversation with me. Several times, I could feel its silent gaze, which made my heart warm. Whenever we go to bed and get ready to sleep, it will first squat on the bedside table and look at us quietly for a while, as if confirming whether we are safe. After we lie down, it will silently climb onto our chests or pillows and fall asleep peacefully. Its small body clinging to me makes me feel full of warmth and dependence.
When Yinjiao becomes active, it is like a wild rabbit off the leash. After we get up in the morning, it begins to release its vitality. Sometimes, when it is full and in a good mood, it will run around the house, biting the sofa towel. I bought a floor toy for it, and it often jumps around in it cheerfully. Its agile figure is full of vitality. Although it is still relatively small and its destructive power is limited for now, it is very brave and full of curiosity about everything around it. It always wants to explore mysterious places like the kitchen and the bathroom. Once, when the electrician came to the house, accidentally, it ran out of the door. When it stopped and looked back at me, I quickly picked it up. At that moment, my heart was in my throat, afraid that it would get lost.
Yinjiao can be a bit “naughty” sometimes. On several nights, it purred and stepped on my chest, completely ignoring the fact that I am a light sleeper and easy to wake up. In the past, if someone woke me up, I would definitely be angry. But facing Yinjiao, I couldn’t get angry at all. Looking at its lovely appearance, all my tiredness and dissatisfaction disappeared in an instant.
During these 20 days of getting along with Yinjiao, it has become an indispensable part of my life. Every move of it, whether it is the elegance when it is quiet or the naughtiness when it is active, makes me love it even more. I like looking at the way it obediently takes its temperature. Its gentle appearance makes people can’t help but want to take good care of it. I look forward to spending more wonderful times with Yinjiao in the future, witnessing its growth, and accompanying it through every spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Yinjiao, this troublesome little fairy, has already occupied a special place in my heart and become my most precious treasure.
