My Lovely Silver Shaded British Shorthairs: Simba and Little Tail

In my life, there are two extremely important family members, namely the two silver shaded British Shorthair cats I raise. They bring me endless joy and warmth, making me truly feel like I’m taking care of babies.

Let’s first talk about the father cat, Simba. This “mature gentleman” who is already two years old has a big face and round, big eyes similar to mine. He is a typical arrogant cat. On weekdays, he always shows a cold and aloof attitude. However, beneath this cold exterior lies an extremely gentle heart. No matter how I pretend to be angry and scold him, he has never stretched out his claws. His character is quite carefree. Simba also has an endearing quality – he is never afraid of strangers. Every time I take him to the company, he can quickly become the center of attention. As soon as my colleagues walk up to him, he will actively lean his head over, as if saying, “Come and pet me.” If he is petted comfortably, he will even lie down and generously expose his white belly, enjoying this pleasant time. His sleeping and sitting postures are also very domineering, as if proclaiming his confidence and ease in this world.

Then look at Simba’s daughter, Little Tail. This one – year – old little girl has a completely different character from her father. Compared with Simba’s independence and carefreeness, Little Tail is extremely clingy. But she has a small drawback – she is relatively afraid of strangers, so I take her out relatively less often. However, in my eyes, when Little Tail was a kitten, she was simply at the peak of her beauty. Her fluffy little body and round eyes melted my heart with every move.

Although Little Tail is timid in character, in a familiar environment, she also has a lively and lovely side. She likes to follow behind me, rub her soft little body against my legs, and occasionally let out a few gentle meows, as if telling me about her little world. And Simba, although cold and aloof, shows all the tenderness of a father when getting along with Little Tail. Sometimes, I can see Simba patiently teaching Little Tail some small skills, such as how to catch toys and how to find the most comfortable sleeping position.

Whenever I see these two cats, a warm current surges in my heart. They have become an essential part of my life. I often take them for walks outside (of course, mainly Simba). Every time we go out, we will receive countless compliments. Everyone is attracted by their cuteness. And I, as their “old mother”, feel an overwhelming sense of pride in my heart.

Now, the thing I look forward to the most every day is to come home and see them greeting me at the door. Simba will walk over with his elegant steps, and Little Tail will run over happily, spinning around me non – stop. Their existence makes my life more colorful. I just hope these two little ones can grow up healthily and happily all the time and accompany me for a much longer time. Because I really love them extremely and am willing to always protect them and watch them spend every wonderful day under my care.
