Memories of My Siamese Cat: From a Tiny Cutie to a Naughty Furball

Memories of My Siamese Cat: From a Tiny Cutie to a Naughty Furball

(She went to the Rainbow Bridge in December 2022.) I bought her for 1,000 yuan. The seller promised me with great certainty that they had picked the most beautiful kitten for me. When she first arrived at my home, she was incredibly tiny. Her face was a bit dark, but her body was still snow-white, so adorable that my heart melted. The seller told me she was two months old. At that time, I bought a huge amount of stuff: cat food, a litter box, cat litter, cat cans, cat snacks, goat milk, and pet shampoo.

She was so well-behaved. When she first came to my home, she was clingy and not at all shy. When she slept on the bed, she looked so thin and small.

After feeding her for a while, she started to “darken.” She had an enormous appetite, gobbling up three packs of wet cat food every day, which I fed her along with goat milk. Usually, she was very quiet and rarely meowed. But when I got home, she would start meowing – she was just hungry, and she’d also meow whenever she wanted food.

This photo was taken when she was three months old, during her vaccination and deworming.

Later, I bought a cat carrier, thinking it would be convenient for taking her out to play and for vet visits. But I rarely used it because it was too big.

She was almost three months old here – she was already starting to darken! Warning: cuteness overload!

When she was two and a half months old, I bought her a toy, and she had a blast playing with it. Back then, she was small and white, truly a “rich and beautiful” kitten.

When I came home and lay on the sofa playing with my phone, she would come over and sleep on my lap on her own.

By the time she was three months old, she was getting chubby and even darker. She had transformed from a “rich and beautiful” kitten into a “chubby and dark” one.

At three and a half months, her darkening was even more obvious. I bought her another small toy, and she had a great time with it.

As she grew older, she wasn’t as well-behaved as when she was a kitten.

(Thoughts of the cat: Mom, I want goat milk!)

When she was almost four months old, her face was so dark that it was almost unbearable to look at.

She really loved sleeping and would sleep all day long… I spoiled her a lot, constantly feeding her cat cans and treats. Later, a fellow cat owner told me I shouldn’t spoil her like that. I should only give her treats occasionally when she was well-behaved, or as a reward after giving her a bath or trimming her nails. I used to feed her those packs of wet cat food all the time, but later she had diarrhea, so I switched to dry cat food recommended by the pet store. A 1.8KG bag cost around 100 yuan.

She was four and a half months old!

I bought her a glowing water fountain, and she loved it. She started drinking water on her own initiative. Her pupils were stunning.

After eating, she would run back to the bed to sleep. Since I had let her sleep with me when she was a kitten, she got used to considering the bed as her sleeping place.

I took these photos at home when I was free. One characteristic of Siamese cats is that they can eat a lot and sleep a lot. But she was a bit too spoiled by me. She would bite me as soon as I touched her! I tried to discipline her many times, but it didn’t work at all!

Just now, when I opened the balcony door, she ran next door! She even lay down by the gap on the balcony and refused to come back! We live on the 37th floor! I risked my life climbing over to the neighbor’s place to catch her and gave her a good scolding. But right after that, she went back to the bed and slept as if nothing had happened! When you have a cat, you must always close the balcony door! Otherwise, if they fall from a high place, they could die! Please, please pay attention to this!!!
