In the picture of my family life, the Siamese cat Didi is undoubtedly the most vivid and striking part, making people both love and feel “crazy” about it. Like an energetic elf that’s always full of energy, it not only adds endless joy to life with its unique charm but also becomes the most talked – about presence at home with a series of amusing “feats”.
Taking photos of Didi is a challenge that requires both technical skills and luck. Its pitch – black face and bright blue eyes create a strong contrast, making it extremely difficult to take a good picture of it. When the camera focuses on its face, the surrounding environment becomes overexposed, and the image turns white; but once the focus shifts to other areas, its face becomes so dark that it’s almost impossible to see its facial features clearly, as if it blends into the darkness. To capture its cute moments, I often run around the house with the camera, adjusting various parameters and trying different angles, but I rarely succeed. Sometimes, when I finally find the right lighting and angle and am about to press the shutter, it suddenly turns around and runs away, leaving me with only a blurry back, which is both frustrating and hilarious.

Didi’s exuberant energy and active personality make it a veritable “home – wrecker”. Every day, it starts its “crazy parkour mode” at home, as if the whole house is its playground. It dashes around recklessly, ignoring the surrounding items, and breaking cups has become a common occurrence. Once, I just placed a set of delicate glass cups on the coffee table. In the blink of an eye, I heard a “crash” sound. Didi rushed past like a gust of wind, and the glass cups instantly shattered into pieces. Moreover, it loves to jump on the bed, messing up the neatly made bed. Pillows and quilts are scattered all over the place, making one shake their head in dismay.
The most “heartbreaking” thing is that Didi’s “home – wrecking” skills have become even more pronounced as it grows older. Once, I was away from home for three days on business. I came back home, expecting a peaceful moment, but the sight that greeted me left me stunned: cat litter was scattered all over the floor, like a “white snowfall”; when I opened the drawer, there was a pile of cat feces inside, and the smell was almost unbearable. Looking at the mess and then at Didi, which seemed completely unfazed and was still playing happily, I felt angry and helpless. I could only clean up the “mess” while sighing in my heart: this Siamese cat is really unruly!
Despite Didi’s constant creation of “troubles”, it also has an irresistible cuteness. Its dependence on and clinginess to the owner often melt my heart. Whenever I sit on the sofa to rest, it will quickly run over, jump onto the sofa, and press heavily on me, rubbing its head against my hand and purring softly, as if to say, “Stay with me.” Even when I’m busy with work, it will lie quietly beside me, looking up at me from time to time with eyes full of expectation and dependence.
Didi also has a big heart and is completely free of jealousy. The old cat at home always looks disgusted by its enthusiastic play, but Didi doesn’t care and still chases after the old cat, wanting to play with it. Even if we interact closely with the old cat, it won’t be jealous. Instead, it will have fun on its own and sometimes come over to join our “happy time”.
This Siamese cat Didi, despite its frustrating naughtiness and various “annoying” shortcomings like being difficult to photograph and a home – wrecker, its vitality, enthusiasm, and cuteness have long been deeply integrated into our lives. It’s like an imperfect but unique elf, leaving an indelible mark on our lives in its own way and becoming the most precious and special existence in our family.
