When it comes to Siamese cats, people often have various impressions. Some say they can be taken for walks, but my experience tells a different story. My 10 – jin Siamese cat is more like a gluttonous “Siamese pig” than a stroller – friendly feline. Its appetite is astonishing, and it seems to have an insatiable hunger for food. Recently, my family of three all ended up with minor injuries, but it wasn’t on purpose. When playing with the cat teaser, it gets so excited and energetic that its movements are too powerful, making it a bit of a handful in the playfulness department.
As winter arrived, it gradually turned a darker shade, like it was “browning” in the cold, and also ballooned to a hefty 9 jin. Contrary to what some people say about neutered cats becoming more docile, my Siamese cat remains as naughty and trouble – making as ever. Just yesterday, it chewed up the Spring Festival couplets and was confined to the cage for an hour as punishment. But this cat has no grudge – holding spirit at all. Right after being scolded, it comes right back, purring and rubbing against me, showing off its shamelessly affectionate side.

Today, when I took it to the pet hospital for its vaccination, a young nurse at the hospital couldn’t help but exclaim, “This cat is so handsome!” Hearing that, I felt a sense of pride well up inside me.
My Siamese cat is extremely clingy. Wherever I go, it follows. It’s always right at my feet, and I often trip over it. It stays by my side like a shadow all the time, except when it’s eating or using the litter box. Fortunately, there’s another cat at home that can occasionally divert its attention, or else I might really be driven crazy by its constant presence!
It’s also incredibly naughty and has an insatiable curiosity. It loves to bite things, and whenever I scold it, it looks at me with those innocent eyes and starts purring, as if trying to win me over with its charm. When I pet it, the feel isn’t as soft and plush as a American Shorthair. Its body is lean and slender, but its appetite is huge. With its pointed face, it doesn’t have that cute, chubby look that many people find endearing.
However, despite all these “flaws,” I still love it deeply. After all, I’ve nurtured it from a sickly little kitten with great difficulty. Every moment spent with it, whether it’s the times when it causes chaos or when it shows its affectionate side, has become an irreplaceable part of my life. It may be a handful, but it’s my special handful, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. This Siamese cat, with its unique blend of mischief and charm, has firmly captured my heart and become an essential member of my family, teaching me that love transcends all imperfections.
