The two Siamese cats in my family are like two extremes in terms of personality and intelligence. One is the mother cat Tu Tu, who has the demeanor of a “king,” and the other is her son, more like a “bronze” in comparison. Tu Tu’s unique charm always makes me eager to share her story in detail.
Tu Tu is a typical Siamese cat with high intelligence and sensitivity. She has an amazing skill – retrieving thrown objects. Every night, when I’m about to go to bed, she appears on time, holding her favorite toy – my small dinosaur hair tie – in her mouth. She walks gracefully onto the bed, gently places the toy in front of me, and then meows, her eyes full of anticipation, as if saying, “Come and play with me!” Her persistence and cleverness often make me laugh and feel warm inside.
Tu Tu is extremely clingy. She will use her small paws to pull at me actively, acting coquettishly and asking for hugs. Her cute appearance is irresistible. Sometimes, she even shows her “amazing ability” by directly jumping onto my shoulders and sitting steadily, just like a warm scarf. In the cold winter, her soft body brings me a trace of warmth. But in the hot summer, this enthusiastic “scarf” can be a bit overwhelming. Even so, I still enjoy every moment of close contact with her.

Tu Tu pays meticulous attention to me. Every time I go to the toilet, she follows closely behind, jumps lightly onto my lap, circles around, and then curls up into a ball. Soon, she starts purring, as if enjoying this peaceful moment. When she sees me reaching for toilet paper, she will jump down consciously and leave silently. Her sensible behavior is truly endearing. What’s more touching is that whenever I shout, Tu Tu will rush to me at the fastest speed and gently sniff my face with her moist little nose, her eyes full of worry, as if checking if I’m okay. Once, when I was rolling in pain on the bed due to a stomachache, Tu Tu stayed by my side, constantly sniffing me, giving me silent company and comfort. At that moment, her guardianship filled my heart with warmth.
However, Tu Tu is also a cat that responds only to gentle treatment and has a strong sense of possession. After she gave birth to her babies, the changes in her life made her unhappy. Later, after the sterilization surgery, her physical weakness exacerbated her negative emotions, and she fell into a long – term depression. During those days, she no longer clung to me as before and stopped purring affectionately at me, which made me very worried. To help her regain her happiness, I decided to take her home for the Spring Festival. Fortunately, my family all liked her very much and gave her plenty of attention and love. With everyone’s care, Tu Tu seemed to find her joy again and became lively once more. The time spent with Tu Tu has made me deeply understand that after raising a cat for a long time, it’s easy to notice their emotional changes, and their joys and sorrows always tug at my heartstrings.
Tu Tu is like a little sun in my life. With her intelligence, clinginess, and sensitivity, she has added countless colors and warmth to my life. Even with her small quirks and personality traits, in my eyes, she is unique and irreplaceable. I look forward to creating more beautiful memories with her in the future.
