In the corners of the city, there are always some lives struggling to survive. And Dan Ta, this lucky Siamese cat, met our family at a turning point in fate, thus writing a story full of love and miracles.
It was an ordinary day. When my husband and daughter were out, they found Dan Ta, who was on the verge of death, in a hidden corner. Its body was covered with scars, its fur was in a mess, and countless fleas were crawling freely on its emaciated body. It was so thin that only a skeleton was left, and the breath of life was extremely weak. If we had found it a few days later, I’m afraid it would really have lost the chance to survive. The scene at that time was so pitiful that we forgot to take pictures of its most embarrassed appearance. All we remembered was the overwhelming heartache and compassion.

After bringing Dan Ta home, we immediately started the rescue. My husband bathed it carefully. During the process, he exclaimed that there were at least ten thousand fleas on Dan Ta’s body. At that time, Dan Ta had long since lost the strength to resist. It was so weak that it couldn’t even make a sound and could only let us handle it feebly. Perhaps it was this weakness that made applying medicine relatively smooth. We carefully treated its wounds every day and gave it deworming treatments on time. Under the meticulous care of the whole family, Dan Ta’s wounds began to heal at an astonishing speed, and those annoying fleas were completely eliminated.
After the first bath, medicine application, and deworming for Dan Ta, we finally had the opportunity to take a good look at this tenacious little life. Its charming blue eyes, typical of Siamese cats, still sparkled with a unique light even in its weak state, as if containing a sea of stars, making people unable to help but be enchanted. That was the light of hope and a symbol of the unyielding nature of life.
As time went by, Dan Ta gradually regained its vitality. The once weak little creature had transformed into the most clingy “little fairy” in the family. It always followed us around. Whether we were busy in the kitchen or resting in the living room, as soon as we turned around, we could see its blue eyes full of dependence. It was smart and could quickly understand our instructions, knowing when to be quiet and when to play freely.
At the same time, Dan Ta was an out – and – out foodie. As soon as it heard the sound of a plastic bag or smelled the aroma of food, it would immediately rush over, looking at us with expectant eyes and occasionally letting out a few coquettish meows, as if to say, “I’m hungry, give me something delicious!” Watching it gobble up the food, the whole family couldn’t help but smile knowingly.
However, the experience of living on the streets still left some indelible marks on Dan Ta’s body. It would occasionally have some minor problems. Issues such as coughing, wheezing, and stomatitis had been bothering it. We took it to see doctors everywhere and carried out continuous treatments. Although the process was a bit arduous, seeing it live happily day by day made all the efforts worthwhile. Now, overall, Dan Ta is relatively healthy. It repays the love we give with its strength and optimism.
The arrival of Dan Ta has not only added endless joy to our family but also made us deeply appreciate the tenacity and preciousness of life. It was reborn from the brink of despair and warms each of us with love and trust. In the days to come, we will always be by Dan Ta’s side, guarding this hard – won bond and continuing to write our happy story.
