Lulu: The Unique Siamese Cat Companion

Lulu: The Unique Siamese Cat Companion

In the days of accompanying cats, I am increasingly grateful for choosing Lulu, this Siamese cat from the cat – cuddling area. Compared with the five long – haired cats raised by my friend, Lulu is truly a rarity in terms of shedding, sparing me from countless troubles caused by hair allergies.

Lulu is almost two years old and weighs 11 pounds, with a strong and muscular body. When I took him for a medical examination at the hospital, even the doctor praised his robust physique. He has a good appetite and digestion, and with careful care, he rarely gets sick. Due to my limited energy, having only one cat is just right for me, and Lulu has filled my life with his unique charm.

Lulu’s personality is multi – faceted. He is extremely clingy, following me around like a little shadow every day. At the same time, he is extremely intelligent, as if he can understand every word I say and every action I make, and respond quickly. He is very brave, full of curiosity and the desire to explore whether facing an unfamiliar environment or a new thing. Moreover, he has a stable mood, rarely getting anxious, and is highly adaptable. These qualities make him a sweet and worry – free companion in my life.

However, Lulu also has his “little quirks.” His possessiveness is extremely strong, perhaps related to his life experience in the cat – cuddling area.Unexpectedly, he “taught” all the cats at my friend’s house a lesson, even breaking the nail of a little female cat. The store clerk also told me that he was dominant in the cat – cuddling area and severely bullied the hairless cats there. Because of this, I was long ago informed that it might be impossible to keep a second cat. Fortunately, since bringing him home, he has never shown any aggressive behavior towards me. Perhaps his “aggressiveness” is only directed at other cats. In addition, Lulu has an interesting characteristic – he can be taken out like a dog. When walking in the park, he can obediently follow people, truly deserving the title of “a dog among cats.” However, I’m worried that he will get dirty, so I don’t take him out often. When taking him out after a long period of staying at home, he will cling tightly to my neck out of fear and refuse to get down, but he won’t run around either.

It is worth mentioning that after bringing Lulu home, I discovered that he was infected with the calicivirus. During that time, I took him to the hospital frequently. Fortunately, after treatment, his condition was effectively controlled and now does not affect his daily life. This experience has made me deeply realize that a comprehensive examination must be done in advance when buying a pet, as cats in pet stores are not necessarily healthy.

In terms of feeding costs, Lulu is very “thoughtful.” Except for the relatively high cost of purchasing cat trees, scratching posts, automatic feeders, and other supplies at the beginning, the subsequent daily expenses are not high. I spent about 150 yuan on Pinduoduo to get the cat tree and scratching post; the monthly cat litter cost is about 20 yuan, the cat food is 120 yuan, and with snacks and other items, the total monthly cost is less than 300 yuan. Of course, if the cat gets sick, the expenses will increase significantly. Lulu spent nearly 10,000 yuan on treating the calicivirus infection. But as long as we take good care to ensure his health, the cost of raising a cat is completely within an affordable range.

Overall, although Lulu has some small “flaws,” in my heart, he is a unique and precious cat. His clinginess, intelligence, bravery, and relatively easy – to – manage short hair make me love him deeply. Every day spent with him is filled with warmth and joy, and I look forward to spending many more wonderful moments with him.
