Among numerous cat breeds, Siamese cats attract countless cat owners with their unique appearance and lively personalities. And I am fortunate enough to be the owner of a male Siamese cat, and we have been together for almost half a year. During these days, it has brought me endless joy and warmth, and also allowed me to have a deeper understanding of this breed.
When I first met my Siamese cat, its vivid eyes and graceful posture instantly captured my heart. After getting along with it, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it has no strange smell and is extremely clean. Every day, it spends a lot of time grooming its fur, keeping itself neat and tidy. This clean – loving habit not only saves me a lot of cleaning trouble but also allows me to have close contact with it more reassuringly. What’s more fortunate is that in almost half a year, it has been in excellent health and has never been sick. Seeing it full of energy and vitality, my heart is filled with relief.

Every time I take out the freeze – dried packaging, it will immediately run over, meowing around me with anticipation in its eyes. And it can’t resist canned cat food either. The first time I opened a canned cat food, the rich aroma of the meat was so strong that I couldn’t help but want to have a taste myself. Watching it enjoy the food with gusto, I feel genuinely happy.
What I love most about Siamese cats is their strong dependence on their owners. It’s like my little shadow, following me wherever I go. When I cook in the kitchen, it will squat beside me and watch quietly; when I watch TV on the sofa, it will jump up and snuggle beside me. When I go out, it will squat at the door and watch me leave with reluctant eyes; and the moment I get home, it will rush to the door to greet me. This kind of dependence makes me feel the happiness of being needed and also strengthens my determination to take good care of it.
Of course, Siamese cats have a unique “skill” – they get darker as time goes by. From the relatively light – colored fur when it first arrived home, its fur color gradually deepens over time. Especially when the weather gets cold, its face, ears, limbs, and other parts will become darker and darker, as if it has been “blackened”. Although its appearance has changed, in my eyes, it is still that adorable and special fur baby.
