Since Fugui came into my home, it has been like a vibrant little sun, constantly bringing new stories and touches to my life. Recently, Fugui and I have experienced many interesting and memorable events, and these daily bits and pieces have formed our unique memories.
Out of love for Fugui, I took it out for a walk on a whim, but I didn’t expect this action to cause a lot of trouble. Fugui is still young with a weak immune system, and the outside environment is complex, full of various unknown risks. After this walk, I noticed that it seemed to have brought back some unwelcome guests. Although I’m not sure exactly what these little creatures are, I can tell from its frequent scratching and restless state that this outing had a negative impact on its health. This experience taught me a profound lesson: kittens, especially young ones, are really not suitable for outdoor walks. While the outside world may be exciting, it’s full of dangers for them. Protecting the small haven of home is the best way to safeguard their well – being.

However, aside from this unpleasant experience, Fugui has had many adorable and amusing moments recently. It tasted a little bit of shrimp, and its cautious yet curious appearance was as if it was exploring a new world of delicious food. The cat tree bought by its aunt has become its new favorite. Whether during the day or at night, as soon as I fall asleep, it will quietly lie on the cat tree without waking me up with its “meow meow” calls. Instead, it stays by my side like a sweet little angel. It has an incredible amount of energy and can play with a cat teaser for a long time, jumping around and having a great time. Its lively figure fills the house with endless vitality.
In the process of getting along with Fugui, I’ve gradually mastered some tricks for interacting with it. When I play with it using my hands, it can’t help but give a “gentle bite.” But as soon as I cry out “ah ah ah” loudly, it seems to sense my “pain,” and the next time it will be much more gentle. I’ve also tried some deliberate training. Every time I go out, I say loudly to it, “I’m leaving!” and then make a big noise while changing my shoes. Gradually, Fugui seems to understand this signal and knows that when I change my shoes, I’ll be away from home for a while. Sometimes, it climbs onto me to act coquettishly. Its clingy look makes it hard for me to put it down, but to cultivate good habits, I have to be firm.
There have been many interesting episodes during the training. Calling its name while feeding cat treats didn’t work at first, but when I tried patting the sofa, it quickly understood. Now, as long as I pat the sofa three times, it will run over quickly, unless it’s in no mood to pay attention to me. To correct its habit of pawing at people, I gently tap its paws every time it reaches out. After persistent efforts over time, it finally stopped randomly jumping up to paw at me, and I no longer have to worry about getting scratched. Once, Fugui was really fond of climbing the curtains. It often got stuck up there and couldn’t get down, and I had to struggle to lift it down every time. Not only was I exhausted, but my mom’s sofa cover was also on the verge of being damaged. Fortunately, with the scratching post, it has a place to release its energy and sharpen its claws, and the curtains and sofa cover have finally been saved.
Fugui’s growth is like a storybook full of surprises, with each page recording the bits and pieces between us. These experiences are filled with joys, lessons, and, most importantly, love and warmth. In the days to come, I look forward to continuing to write more wonderful chapters with Fugui and accompanying it to grow up healthy and happy.
