My cat’s name is Xiuxiu, and she is a female cat. I brought her home from an elderly woman who raised cats at home in April 2017.
At that time, her mother gave birth to a total of four kittens, three males and one female. That’s right, she was the “unique one” among them.
At that time, the remaining three male kittens were all cuter than her. I have to say that among the litter, I thought she was the ugliest. Those three little kittens were all very affectionate towards people and would come over to play with me actively. Only she would hide far away and look at me as if I were a thief.
Helplessly, since I wanted to buy a female cat to keep my male cat company at home, she, the only female cat, became my only choice. When the elderly woman crossed two rooms and lured her with a ham sausage and caught her, she was very dissatisfied. The elderly woman said that she was the most scheming one in this litter. She knew that I was coming to take her away, so she hid and didn’t let anyone hold her. I picked her up and looked at her from side to side, smacking my lips: Since you’re the only female one, there’s no other way. It has to be you. So she went back to my home in a shoe box provided by her “natal home”.
When she first came, her eyes were full of vigilance, and she was very unfriendly to anyone.
She fought with my resident cat at home every day. Even though the resident cat had a good temper, it couldn’t stand her constant provocations.
Fortunately, the resident cat was very inclusive, and the two of them got along as a matter of course. When she was a kitten, although there were some conflicts, she was still cute.
After two weeks, when she got a little more used to the environment, my partner and I took her and the resident cat out to play. I have a hobby of showing off my cats by holding them around. So on a sunny afternoon, the two of them went to the suburban park to get some fresh air in a small backpack.
After we arrived at the suburban park, I didn’t put a cat leash on either of them. After all, the place was open and there weren’t many people. As a result, Yiqi, the resident cat, fully demonstrated the instincts of a male cat and ran more than 50 meters away. I almost lost my pants while chasing after it before I barely caught it. When I turned around, I found that Xiuxiu was squatting there properly. When I got closer, she even meowed at me and then followed me back to the car.
I was instantly melted by her cuteness. How could there be such an obedient cat? Looking back at Yiqi and then at Xiuxiu, I really felt a bit sad.
As I said above, Xiuxiu’s obedience was shown since she was a kitten. Yiqi was naughty and often made a mess at home, turning the house upside down. Xiuxiu was different. When she was free, she would find a comfortable place to lie down and squint her eyes to observe the world. Once she was lying on my lap with her eyes closed, deep in thought. I almost thought she was going to cultivate immortality and the next second she would fly to the moon like Chang’e.
It was from this moment that I discovered Xiuxiu’s goddess-like temperament.
