As for whether a pet is easy to raise, every pet has its own way of being raised, just like raising a child.
Each dog also has a different personality.
Although I persuade people around me to raise Bichon Frises after having one myself, I sometimes feel helpless. So, let me talk about my dog.
On Whether It’s Troublesome
You need to walk it at least once a day. Bichon Frises are very clingy. If you don’t play with them, they’ll whine, and if they don’t go out to play, they might do some minor “house – wrecking”.
Clean its eyes and mouth every day, and wipe its feet after coming back from outside.
My dog had an acute gastroenteritis when it was a puppy, so I’m very careful about its diet. I even cut the dog food into smaller pieces for fear that it can’t digest well.
Because it has tear stains, I need to make dog food for it twice a month (one batch can last for a week) to regulate its condition.
Send it to the pet store for grooming at least twice a month.
It can’t hold its feces for long (but it can be trained to go to a fixed place), so you need to clean up regularly.
On Whether It’s Easy to Raise
To be honest, my dog is not very easy to raise.
Since it’s a puppy born from my friend’s own breeding, I have the contact information of the owners of the other puppies in the litter. Their dogs are easier to raise than mine.
If my dog eats cheaper dog food, it will get tear stains easily and is prone to getting inflamed.
Because I brought my dog home when it was very small, I took extra care of it, which made it overly clingy and it would bark at night.

On Its Personality
The most prominent feature of a Bichon Frise is its clinginess, but different people have different levels of acceptance for this.
It’s fairly smart. My Erwan can understand common commands.
It can be a bit naughty! If you haven’t been home to accompany it for a long time, it will act up when you come back and do bad things right in front of you. Hahaha, but it’s still very cute.
In conclusion, it all depends on whether you like it. Once you decide to raise a dog, it’s a lifetime commitment. You must be patient, and it will surely bring you endless joy.
