Ice-Cream Cone, the Shiba Inu that I

have raised for half a year, comes to see you!

Xiu Xiu’s dog

In March 2019, I bought a pet on WeChat for the first time in my life. I bought this little Shiba Inu. At that time, I was still in Chengdu, and taxi drivers didn’t like to carry dogs. In order to pick it up at the airport (flown from Jinan to Chengdu), we rented a car and drove around for several hours before we found the place to pick it up. By the time we actually saw it, it was already past two in the morning. Because we waited too long, we added a hundred yuan so that the driver didn’t run away halfway.

It is said that Shiba Inu is not easy to train, but I feel that my dog is very smart. When I first brought it home, it hummed in the cage and wanted to get out. Then I let it run around the room. At first, it was shy, but after half an hour, it began to run and jump happily.

It is very smart and quickly learned the commands of “sit down”, “eat”, and “no eat”. It also learned to go to the toilet to urinate and defecate, but it can’t escape the extremely chaotic devil’s life at all-because it is too smart, it will open the cage by itself, and then deliberately run to the sofa and bed to defecate and urinate, and then make trouble all over the house, and even eat a whole bag of Cha Cha melon seeds, and have been defecating for several days in a row… Often when I get home from work and open the door to see the miserable situation, I just want to close the door and say to myself, “This is not my home, I opened the wrong door…” And it just looks at me with its little eyes and pretends to be innocent…

The happy life of my dog and me begins. From then on, there is one more person in the world who cares about me…dog. Every night when I get home and just open the door, Ice Cream Cone is already standing at the door, asking for a hug and holding it high. When I go to bed at night, it must lie on the bed and sleep with me. The most touching time for me was when I read before going to bed, it would lie next to me obediently and watch over me. When I turned off the lights and went to bed, it would jump onto my stomach and sleep with my head resting on my stomach (so bad).

When I first arrived in Chengdu, I was poor and destitute, and because of it, the landlord ordered me to move out immediately within a week, but it and I spent an incredibly wonderful time in Chengdu. We ran on the grass together, basked in the sun on the balcony together, went out for exercise every morning and evening, ate Royal Dog Food (before in Chengdu, I could only eat Purina mixed with bean paste…), and became a little Internet celebrity on the street – when I went home during the National Day, it stayed at the pet store, and many netizens brought delicious food to see it, took it for a walk, and sent it postcards…

It always knelt on its front knees with an expression asking for a hug. Then it licked me, licked me, and it was not enough. I know how much you love me
