The daily growth of a beautiful and stubborn little black Shiba Inu (2)

I received Chuyi yesterday. At first, she was shaking badly in my arms, but she got better later. During the three-hour drive from the breeder to home, she and I both woke up and fell asleep. I guess she hasn’t had a bath yet, and she still smells like a puppy (not very pleasant). But she is still so young, so she needs to wait a while before she can have a bath. When

we got home, the little one was scared again, hiding in the dog bag and not daring to come out. After I took her out, she found a small corner to stay by herself. It’s really pitiful, the little black ball. She is very sensitive to sounds, and I think she is just startled. But sooner or later, she will get used to it, right? So I didn’t deliberately keep her quiet. The noise of life should still be there, and I will use the vacuum cleaner and blender for a few days.

At night, she fell asleep without much effort. (Review and summary after raising a dog for one year: A puppy of more than two months needs a lot of sleep, and must get enough sleep)

But she started humming at four or five in the morning because she wanted to pee, she was hungry, and the boiling water in the kettle scared her. So I got up about four times to try to comfort her. (Review and summary after raising a dog for one year: After a nap, she urinated after drinking a lot of water, so you should pay attention)

I have cleaned her urine stains 4 times and pooped once in less than 24 hours after I brought

her home. In such a short half-day observation, I found that the puppy’s behavior is actually traceable. After drinking a lot of water, she will pee immediately (within no more than one minute), sniff the ground, and her behavior is a bit crazy. Maybe she wants to poop. (It is consistent with the information I found online).

I believe that as long as we are patient, we will cooperate well.

What bothers me now is that Chuyi is too timid. As long as the sound is a little louder, she will hide in her little corner. She has no desire to explore the new environment in the new home. I did not interfere with her activities too much. I felt that she was more afraid of the new environment, so I found her blanket to accompany her on the road. Even so, she was still terribly scared and kept shaking.

I don’t know if the timidity is common among all female Shiba Inus, or is it her personality, or is she a newcomer and is so nervous?

I need to observe more.

____The dividing line of April 15_______________________________________________________________On

the 20th day of raising a Shiba Inu, Chuyi is now sleeping under the sofa.

My mood in the past 20 days can be described as ups and downs, which is hard to describe in a few words.

The experience of raising Chuyi at the beginning was confusion.

Although I thought I had done enough research before I got Chuyi, reality always slapped me hard in the face. Because raising a dog is not an isolated incident, my mentality and that of my boyfriend have changed since she came.

We have different ideas about how to educate a dog. What’s worse is that not every method is effective. In other words, the dog doesn’t buy into our efforts at all (haha). So, this feeling of powerlessness has been with us for the past week.

Taking the dog to class is a must, but you really can’t learn anything from the class. In the end, it depends on the owner’s understanding of the dog and then teach the dog in accordance with his aptitude (never abuse the dog!)

. The first training for the dog is toilet training. The specific methods of toilet training are easy to search on the Internet, but the most difficult part of the operation is that you have to focus on the dog for almost 20 hours a day. Because the dog is very small, the ability to hold urine is poor, and it is difficult for novices to predict when to urinate.

In the first few days, we didn’t know Chuyi’s personality well enough, and her behavior also puzzled us.

Toilet training – not eating – unwilling to enter the activity cage – unwilling to go to the toilet in the activity cage – not eating – unwilling to enter the aviation cage – will go crazy in the middle of the night – unwilling to enter the aviation cage again… The first week was a process of discovering problems and solving problems. Confused and tired. (Almost only five hours of sleep a day)

Investing a lot of energy in the dog means that other aspects are not enough. There are many troubles in life that cannot be described one by one. But at the worst time, I also collapsed with grievance. Why is it so difficult? It’s just asking for trouble. (My life was so comfortable without the dog)

This mood lasted for about two weeks. The days of life being a mess also lasted for two weeks.

After the most frustrating days slowly passed, toilet training was miraculously successful one day. We found a training method suitable for Chuyi. Finally, she gradually got better.

Now let’s talk about Chuyi’s personality.

Every puppy should be energetic and crazy, right? Chuyi is probably super energetic and crazy at any time. She is only ten weeks old today, but since she was nine weeks old, we have started walking the dog with the permission of the veterinarian. Every afternoon, she runs around for half an hour, and in the evening she can still be crazy for more than an hour (she can’t sleep before our bedtime, that is, she doesn’t really rest after walking the dog). The endurance is good.

Last time I updated, I was worried that she was timid, but now I think it’s really embarrassing. This puppy is so curious that it’s hard to imagine. (I’m tired, I’ll update next time) As

usual, it’s time to show off the dog.
