Daily Record of Shiba Inu Dudu JiangDue
to the epidemic, I have been living alone since I rushed back to work after the Chinese New Year; when I work, I will turn on the TV as BGM to make it not particularly quiet. It’s a pity that I was transferred to a job and returned to a familiar and strange big city. Under the influence of the epidemic, the distance between people has not been shortened at all because of the subway. So after the job transfer and the change in the nature of the job, I decided to raise a dog, or more precisely, I decided to raise a Shiba Inu.
Because I had a working experience in Japan before, I always wanted to raise a Shiba Inu. I mainly focused on the appearance and appearance, and I didn’t have any ideas about other dogs. Then the first thing was to do homework on Zhihu, the characteristics of Shiba Inu, the changes in the growth of dogs from small to large, various experiences and precautions. After careful consideration, I think that hair loss and poor obedience are not too big a problem. Independence and love of cleanliness are exactly the most needed advantages. I went to the cafe to play with Shiba for an hour, and then started selling various pet supplies to find a kennel.
In mid-May, I finally found a kennel in Tongzhou, Beijing. Most owners went to their kennel to choose their kennels on site, so I contacted them directly on WeChat and chose a female dog (birthday on March 24, 2020). The kennel then delivered the dog door-to-door.
When it first arrived, it felt super cute!!!
Furry, a little timid, but very curious.
The various mats I bought had not arrived yet, so I sacrificed a bath towel and blanket.
The next day was a tragedy. I found that the dog had a stomachache… I asked all kinds of questions, tried to reduce some dog food (given by the seller, overused), and then it got a little better.

After a while, the dog started to have diarrhea again. There was some jelly-like stool at the end of the stool, and there was a little blood. So I went to check for parasites… However, I didn’t find any problems.
I was really worried. I read various Zhihu posts and tried to drive away coccidia and common parasites. I also confirmed that the dog had roundworms… But the diarrhea problem was solved, and the dog grew bigger and bigger. The
dog just ate, drank, defecated, urinated, and slept, especially liked to lick the ground… It was simply an automatic sweeping and mopping machine with no dead angles. Then I also bought trace element nutritional paste, which did provide some relief. Now the dog completely stops licking the ground.
I also started to let the dog adapt to the P rope. A week after the dog came home, it learned to urinate and defecate in the toilet by itself. This is really a natural advantage of Shiba Inu…
When feeding, it also learned to sit down and not to grab. It doesn’t guard the food while eating and petting the dog.
The plush toy Shiba Inu before changing its fetal hair is really cute.
The process of a girl’s growth and transformation has also begun. From the black and dirty plush toy above, a series of natural medical beauty processes such as growing slimmer, shedding hair, and growing hair began.
In late June, the awkward period officially arrived:
but after the vaccinations and other things were completed, I started to take the dog out for a walk without worrying about embarrassing it.
But the dog’s awkward period came hard (hair loss, monkey face, big ears), and went away quickly. During the process, he learned to lie down and shake hands, and I could feel that the lost hair began to grow again. Especially the gray hair faded, the chin, belly and buttocks became whiter, and the hair on the face became more and more. The process of becoming beautiful began.
In early August, when the dog started to lose teeth (four months), it felt like it really became beautiful.
The teeth fell out, and then grew out again… Then it was this day (2020.09.23, one day away from 6 months): I had my period, and I put on diapers… I felt that the dog was a little small, now it weighs about 5.9kg.
2020.10.01 I didn’t expect there would be pet mooncakes before, so I took a photo before eating. The raincoat I bought before was too small, so I also got a new raincoat.
My period hasn’t gone away yet, but I haven’t noticed any obvious changes in the dog’s personality during this period.
The decision to neuter needs to be considered seriously. I plan to breed the dog once when he is one and a half years old and then neuter him. However, the dog is too difficult to take care of during the menstrual period: diapers cannot solve all problems. It still needs to be wiped clean with wet wipes, and it is not so easy to wipe clean… If it faints from blood or something, it is better to neuter it as soon as possible. There is also that strange smell that is hard to describe…
But it seems that the dog’s legs have become longer and a little taller. Before, I couldn’t see the peach from the back; now I can see it.
2020-10-12 The dog’s menstrual period has not ended yet… Why is it so long… I have been staying in Beijing for the entire National Day holiday. Meitian has to clean the dog’s peach several times. At the beginning, the amount of menstrual period was not large, and then it began to become a little more. At first, it was mixed with mucus, but later it was not so sticky… I hope the menstrual period will pass quickly.
The menstrual period is really long… Nearly a month!! Then the dog had problems with food protection during the period, and decisively stopped using the food bowl. Every meal was fed slowly by hand. Now it is much better. During this period, I took the dog to many places to play… Then the dog started to shed hair again…
2021.01.17 I found out that the dog was falsely pregnant… I can express milk
2021.02.14 Happy Chinese New Year, and good luck in the year of the Ox!
2021.03.24 Before Dudujiang’s first birthday
, she lost a lot of hair because of false pregnancy; fortunately, it has grown back recently. It’s finally her first birthday. I made a birthday cake for the dog with chicken puree, purple potato chicken puree, pumpkin chicken puree, cheese and salmon.
I hope the dog can grow up healthily…
