My two dogs: Deer dog Lulu and Shiba Inu Shikamaru (1)
When I lived with my husband in Shenzhen, we would go for a walk every day after work after dinner on the street full of pet shops near the company. From gray kites to Shunsuke, schnauzers to corgis, I found that my favorite was Shiba Inu.
I liked Shiba Inu’s handsomeness and was infected by Shiba Inu’s warm smile. I put all my best expectations and love for dogs in my life on this breed. I
had a puppy at home, a small deer dog named Lulu. I had raised her for almost ten years. Now she has white fur and is not as lively as when she was a child. I wanted to find her a companion, so Shikamaru came to my house early.
This is what he looked like when I first saw him in the kennel:
Why did I call Shiba Inu this name? First, because my husband is a fan of Naruto, I hope Shiba Inu can be as smart as Shikamaru. Second, because my sister is named Lulu, and he is younger, so I named him Shikamaru.
I used to be a fan of the cute Maru on Instagram. I thought Shikamaru was really as brave and loyal, clean and beautiful, and smart as described in the introduction of raising Shiba Inus. I didn’t expect him to be unexpectedly cold. He is also quiet and independent, and not easy to train.
– If you have met a wolf, it will remember you the next time you meet.
The wild blood of Shiba Inus is deeply engraved with the character of “letting go”. For them, “loyalty” does not mean never leaving like other highly domesticated guard dogs, but “caring for the master and traveling all over the world”. It is the kind of free and easy attitude that has the master in mind and everywhere is my home…

So the little Shiba Inus are independent and lonely. They always yearn for the real wilderness and freedom. The heart of letting go is always “the world is so big, I want to see wherever I want.”
Shikamaru is the same. Every time he goes out, he runs like crazy. We who are on a leash can never satisfy their ancient desire for freedom in their bones.
We can have fun with them, but we can’t wander with them. So, understand their hearts, hold on to the leash, and run, brothers! Let Shiba Inu see the world with us!

This was when he first came to our house: behind him was the simple little cage and small cushion that we brought him back with (well, there was also a rag for wiping the balcony, which he dragged back into his nest). It was almost Christmas, so I bought him this red and green down jacket to suit the occasion.
I heard that many people raise Shiba Inus just to pinch his face, but Shikamaru… Oh, let’s not talk about it, maybe I’m not using it the right way… I envy other Shiba Inus’ chubby round faces.
Shikamaru and Bingzi met for the first time. One was unusually arrogant and calm, while the other was in a state between A and C. ∑(゚Д゚)…
When I took him out for a walk, he was asked if he was a Husky. This wise little eye was a little unhappy, and his face was full of the little emotion of “How can this Shiba Inus look like a Husky?” It seemed to say, I would rather be treated as a local dog than a Husky! Humph, the
baby is unhappy!
During the Spring Festival, his grandfather bought him new clothes. A true Konoha Village Ninja Dog!
A six-star awakened Inugami SSR!
Now that he’s grown up, he feels more independent and sharp:
The King’s Contempt – You bunch of mortals who know nothing about power. His
handsome side profile kills
him. He plays with his chewing gum cutely. When he
has nothing to do, he just lies in the small pavilion on the roof garden, thinking about his dog life.
